Margaret Buchanan returns to her hometown of Jackson, Mississippi following a large flood in which Honey Beauvoir, a 16 year old girl disappeared. Margaret joins Clemson Private Investigators and begins working on Honey’s case. While Margaret navigates the small-minded, but competitive nature of Mississippi society, she discovers six reclusive and potentially dangerous sisters intertwined with a corrupted political justice system. As Margaret digs deeper into the case her own personal trauma comes to the surface.

Set in a British country house the weekend before Jo’s nuptials, the film explores Jo and Scarlet re-connecting as the wedding looms over them, examining both their friendship and their teenage romance, which is only revealed as the film unfolds.
